Note from poster: While covering a high profile case at Reading Crown Court Sky New and ITN outside broadcast teams took over two disabled parking bays. It seems they would rather pay the fine than miss the story.

The taxi company was contacted and their general manager is going to look into it. He said:
"If you have any additional information on the date and time of this incident I would welcome the receipt of that so we can identify the driver concerned at the time and address the matter with them directly.

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.

XHTML -- Why was these clearly illegally parked vans not towed and impounded! My family is frohis area and I know parking in the city of Reading is very tight but these sods clearly did not care!
p d gorski, I am afraid it is a very typical situation. Apparantly, in the UK the worst thing that can happen to people parking in a disabled bay is a parking fine which is typically fifty pounds. If you compare this to the cost of having an outside broadcast team sitting waiting all day that is a very small sum.
