This dark blue Holden Commodore, plate AHD449, was parked illegally in a disability parking space in Gisborne, outside Kaiti Medical Centre on 27 September, 2006.

I took the photo of this unmarked police car at 8:24am and they had been there since 6am. When I complained to the police they said they were transporting a rape victim. There were plenty of other parks they could have used so I don't buy that excuse. They took the only mobility park, blocking the only ramp in the shopping block for access from the road to the footpath. Too bad if someone with a genuine disability had needed to get to the doctors or the chemist!

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.

By that i mean they have few issues pushing around large food carts.

Stores will never enforce the mobility issue because to do so will create friction with customers.
Able-bodied people buy more.......
