The taxi company was contacted and their general manager is going to look into it. He said:
"If you have any additional information on the date and time of this incident I would welcome the receipt of that so we can identify the driver concerned at the time and address the matter with them directly.

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.

They think they are above the law...They park that think whereever they can put it.
are hashmarks concider part of handcaps?i see alot bikers park on the hashmarks not on the handycap parking i think its better then parking on the sidewalk.
Sonia, yes, the "hash mark", correctly refered to as "access aisle" under the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines are, exactly that, an access aisle. It is used to be able to open doors wide and load/unload a wheelchair or walking frame. It is used to have the actual space between two cars to get to the door. It is used to be able to deploy a wheelchair lift in a van. So anyone leaving a shopping cart or a motorbike there actually blocks access.
Sonia, the striped areas are part of the mobility access program. as for being better for motorcycles to park there than on the sidewalk, they shouldn't park on the sidewalk, either. According to the law, just as a motorcycle has the right to a full traffice lane while travelling, they are entitled to a full parking space when they park. If they wish, however, they may travel two abreast in a traffic lane, they can park two or three motorcycles in one parking space, as long as it is not a handicap space, unless they have a plate or placard. And yes, I have seen motorcycle handicap plates.
That's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard, A Handicap Motorcycle Plate. Give me a freakin break.
Sonia, how about someone with a bad heart, entitled to a mobility placard in their car. Are they any less eligible because they ride a motorcycle? How about a leg amputee? There are many conditions that affects someone's ability to walk distances that don't affect their ability to ride a motorcycle.
