Other details, if available

Out of two possible disabled parking spaces, one is being used by the construction crew. The other, illegally occupied by a car with no placard. There was once a third, also pictured, but they painted it over and made it into a motorcycle park. You can still make out the blue wheelchair sign painted on the asphalt. Too bad, we could have used a third one today!

Make sure you send those pix to Comfort Inn noting that they took place over several days. Send them to the local media too (CCing comfort inn). And link back to Caughtya.org in both emails. I got some resolution that way. Good luck

its called construction.. im sure the rest of the parking lot wasnt occupied during early day hours..

  3. sganon says:

Construction is not the point. If Comfort Inn is undergoing construction and will need to use the disabled parking space during this construction period, then they need to provide other disabled parking spaces in a nearby area that are not affected by the construction. There may or may not have been ordinary parking spaces nearby, but even if there were, ordinary parking spaces are not wide enough to ensure that someone won't park too close to you to be able to deploy a ramp or get your wheelchair in between the cars.

look at the pictures, you idiots, no one whos disabled should even be near that construction site.. the location probably isn't even open and if it is i'm sure theres another entrance..

    dummys.

  5. Webmaster says:

Mario, the problem being, no alternative disability parking was offered. The hotel was indeed open as the person who posted the photo stayed there overnight. The issue is not about the entrance, but about the fact that a mobility parking space was rendered completely unusable and no alternative was provided.

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.

Stores will never enforce the mobility issue because to do so will create friction with customers. Able-bodied people buy more.......
